Elections in Uganda, Yoweri Museveni

Kizza Besigye of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), was arrested during the election day accused of "crossing a military installation" in Kampala, where he claimed that a trickery was being made, police said. He was later released. This led to protests by his supporters, although they were repressed by the agents at gunpoint, leaving at least one dead and four wounded. The elections, which analysts say could be the most contested to date, have been extended for Friday in the capital for lack of ballots and ballot boxes. Also, the Ugandan government blocked access to social networks citizens. The results of the presidential election should be known on Saturday.
